The Town of Columbus, North Carolina celebrated Veteran's Day with a parade and an impressive ceremony. It was an absolutely gorgeous North Carolina morning as the town paid tribute to our veterans in a big way. The ceremony ended with the release of 101 white doves. Thanks veterans for your service. We are forever grateful.

If you're not from these parts, just about all the small towns around here (Landrum, SC as well as Tryon, NC & Saluda, NC have Halloween Strolls. The towns and stores decorate and the kids come out by the hundreds. Last night (Halloween) was very rainy and while that might be perfect for trolls and goblins...it was best to keep the kids indoors. But in just an hour or so, the towns will be crawling with little ones. Click on each image to bring up a larger version. |
